The Oct. Blizzard of 09!

Just came back from the hidden gems meeting in Eagle, the snow is 99.99 on the front range unfortunately, focused on lower elevation from what I can tell.
Only a few inches at the tunnel, bu a friend at ST mary's said 18" up there.

either way, it should help us with snow for our event on the 15th!

Holy crap, Mule.....thats the biggest skunk I've ever seen! haha

Got the sled out and rode it up and down my street to take the "edge" off. We're getting it pretty bad up on the north end. Prayin for no work tomorrow as well.

Why don't you guys on the Front Range shovel that up and bring it back to where it belongs?

In the Mountains!!!

MtnDoo -- How did Irwin and CB do in this storm?

Also did anyone attend the hidden gems meeting? How did it go?

Got another 6" overnight :) heavy stuff on top of the fluff. All told, prolly ended up with about 20". Really petered out yesterday afternoon. Still snowing light. My snow measuring pot came up with 1.75" of water precip ;)

Hey Ike, shouldn't you be out defending Duke somewhere ;) I saw how he was getting "beat up" by the sofa riders again. lol Got your road ride on yet?

I barely got back home at 10 this morning. My cul de sac will be drifted in solid in no time. Don't know how much snow we have though. Still snowing and blowing.

Kind of odd the first people claiming road rides aren't even riding in the mountains, but on the streets of the Front Range LOL. I would have rather seen this snow where we ride in the mountains but we can't whine about snow in October. Already starting off WAY better than last year! :beer;

went into debt, Greg :o Now I got a warm dry place to .....hang out in after a days ride. lol

No doubt! I got more than Deadman or Cameron from the snotel info.

At least when I go hunting next week it will be the other side of the pass :D

Snowies looks the best, with 44" at sand lake snotel. They had a pretty good base before and picked up quite a bit from this storm.

What, no comps on that sweet 67 red dale camper. lol That'll keep me "standing out" in the lot! Kinda sucks this snow didn't fall up there, but looks like more's on the way :)

Dam SkiB, you got some blizzardy chit goin on there. Glad my snow comes without the "blizzard" element most of the time. I imagine mine will get blown around soon enough and I'll have to dig that out too.

In 05 we got a couple feet in Dec. then reg. snow after that and it stayed cold so that chit blew in my driveway until March. Don't need a repeat of that down here. Keep it above 8000' :D

Riding boulder 10-28-09

Well, the mountains might not have snow, but Boulder got 15". Since Billygoat is off at school, I had to take out his sled for a ride... Had to make sure that turbo still worked. Bushy, congrats on that new truck, that Cummins will carry a lot more beer up the hill for you! Now if you could just get a nice 39ft Raptor toy hauler to go behind it that we could hang out in!!!
