After supplying parts and riding Jason Liens T-apex powered CF Rev I decided I would build my own. This one is powered with an Alpine front mount turbo'd Vector. It has Timbersled front and rear suspensions, floats alround, Vector drive train, 163 x 16 powdermax track, all installed in a Carbon Fiber Rev chassis and all CF Rev body work. Had a pretty successful shake down run today, with 2 exceptions. First is an 81 error code - not sure but maybe a handwarmer issue as they don't work. The second is more serious - I get full boost ( 20 lbs.) and cannot turn it down. Is it in the exhaust valve diaphram or the control needle valve? Does the diaphram hold the exhaust valve on the turbo open or closed when not running?

The sled itself runs and handles very nice. With a wet (without gas) weight of 465 lbs. and the big track, it handles quite light and easy. Going through waist deep pow was not an issue. When I get this over boost thing figured out, this is going to be one sweet sled!

If you have a turbo smart boost Tee,then that may be you problem,it is very common for those to stick open and apply full boost.

Looking GOOD!!!!!

Craig--looks really good and sleek! Now lets RIDE!
The wastegate actuator holds the valve closed normally, and boost opens it. Sounds like boost controller, not regulating flow, as said before. cv

Try pulling the spring and ball out of the boost controller. If that doesn't work you need to take a look at your wastegate control arm length. It might be way to tight. Maybe your wastegate arm is hitting your heat shields. Use a screwdriver and make sure it goes through its full travel without hitting any thing. If none of this works your wastegate diaphram might be bad. I had a problem with to much boost and found my wastegate arm was two turns to tight. I also found a lot of boost spike with my boost controller unless the ball and spring were removed.
