Hatch, I think the problem is that people don't want to pay for a forum that has been made worse by the changes. It comes down to simple economics, consumers when having to pay expect to get something in return.

I will probably pony up the $10 for the info I can get here and then go over to the other side for my laughs since they do not allow that here anymore. If people are worried about the $10 now, wait until the government figures out a way to tax the internet, LMAO, then the s--t will hit the fan.

Personally, I have no problem paying because the forum saves me more $$'s in information, than the cost of entry.

However, if lots of the key member's dont pay and leave the site....will the "paid for" version be a ghost town? If so, then it won't be "worth it."

IF it where up to me (which obviously it isn't), I would say a "donation" option would be a good compromise....but I don't think that's in the cards.

Yeah but why would you pay for something you can get for free...there are plenty of other sites with good info *cough B . C . R *cough its not because it too much money its the principle of it all

The 10 dollars doesn't matter, I donated before, then they quit asking. We are just getting all this " change " whether we want it or not and really I don't like it as well. The fouled plug section just doesn't work any more and nobody much uses it like they did before. I don't have a thing against Cristopher but he is starting to act like Obama did starting out. A little change at first but then it moves faster and faster and all of a sudden, gee we can't pay for it now.

Hadn't thought of that...But I think you have a very good point there.
I don't hate Chris but he has divided tthe base of the usual suspects around here.
I've NEVER, in the 8 or 9 years I've been here had more than ONE warning when I got out of hand in a post about Snowhwkadick from Big Darren and I deserved that.
In the past week I have had 2 or 3 posts deleted for "Using profanity" for typing little **** with a f and a k on either end. No, I didn't type the whole word but I got an infraction and deleted ( OOOOH...Spank me )
And for the generic "Making trouble"...WTF? and I mean it...WTF? exactly what rule did I break?
I couldnt find it in the rules we all live by here.
I can't wait to see the new rule book we'll have to follow when the Admin get's done "Fixing" this site.
The place is so tightly regulated now that it's damn hard to poke fun at anyone.
Think of all the purely "Fun" threads we've had here...

Those could NEVER happen under the current regime.
I'm sad to see those days go.

There's Hatchers sitting on his mighty horse thinking he is so much smarter then the rest. Serious DUDE you need to wake up. You, up until last year where there biggest instigator and childish basher on the forums. In fact I remember a thread where it was talked about you being the second biggest douche on the forum.

What makes you think because you like to read up on the tech info, that makes you superior to what the others come on here to do. If they only wanted tech info on this forum they would only have tech sections. But they don't, they have other areas that draw other people into this forum. What makes your reasons for being here any more valid then what others want to do on here?? I personally like to come on here and interact with friends that I have made over the years. Not bump my chest and talk BS in tech section. More bickering and BS threads in those areas then anywhere else on this site. You like to come on here and read up on all the great info and hot setups so that you can then go out and try it only to get towed off the mountain week in and week out. I like to hang out with friends and get a laugh here and there and then go out and run flawlessly week in and week out usually ending in towing your all know'd up self off the mountain. It's getting old!

One thing I can say about myself is, I might like to stir the pot a bit but you won't find me going into a tech section and starting any BS. I keep it in the areas where it's ok. and typically it's between friends and then the few tools that want to go head to head. You use this site for what you want to use it for, but don't knock other peeps because they have a perfectly valid reason for being on here as well. The friends I have made on here have way more value to me then any of the tech info I have gathered from here.

Well then I guess this is not the site for you. It has been this way for over ten years and this type of "discussion" is exactally why this is (or was) the best sled site.

If you think for one minute that the crap storm will end when this is a pay site, you will be sadly disappointed.
