I know I'm not in the rite spot, but I'm stuck in MN and would like some honest feedback from the crew here at Snowest.
The last few years going out to Togwotee I have rented and that seems to be working out well. So I want a new flatlander sled.
How many of you would get the 8?
Or give it a year and wait and see?
Or go with the 6?
I've always been one to roll the dice. Just curious to other opinions. If nothing else tell me to be the guinea pig. Thanks

I'd LOVE to try the Switchback Pro X with the 800 HO motor. I bet that thing would be a blast out west in just a ton of situations. I'd still want my Pro RMK for those great powder days but man that thing looks like it would be a blast to ride in a bunch of different conditions.

Go with the 800 HO and get lots of warranty :face-icon-small-ton

Notice extra cooling lines run to the power valve area. It is said by Polaris to keep the valve cleaner by keeping them cooler. Thinking that it may also help with piston health.

You need to be the guinea pig. That's why Polaris made them available to the flat landers so us in the west hopefully get the updates :-)

I had a full day on the new 800 HO pro-x. There is a lot to love about that new motor and chassis! light throttle, snappy, pulls hard. It was freaking awesome to snap the throttle, lean back and ride a wheelie for 50 feet.

However if you are not brand specific, the XRS renegade from ski doo got my choice for the best overall trail sled against the pro-x.

Why Phatty? More fun?

handling characteristics, cornering capabilities, flat out speed.

Dont get me wrong the pro-x is no slouch and is a very fun sled. But the XRS just did everything a little better on trail.

^^^^The Pro X was never designed for trail riding. That is why they have the Pro S, it is the trail friendly version and does address the issues you have with the X, other than flat out speed.

The X is more of a ditch banger off trail design then the S and is better suited there.

I'm kinda struggling between the x and s package. Wish I could ride them. PhattyI wouldn't mind trying the cat 600rr. Just can't be a doo guy. They rubbed me wrong back in the grass dragging days. French speaking pricks...at least I think it was french. lol
I've never had bigger then a 6 for a flatlander. We'll see what the dealer says the price diff is.
