Just wondering what kinda luck everyone is having with the new belt cause i'f fed up with the 166 pullin chords under 200 miles

Do a search here, or on Doo talk. Any belt is going to blow if your alignment is spot on.

I'm aware of that, not my first day on a snowmobile. Alignment is not the issue.

I dont need to diognose the problem of why there blowing, just curious how the new one is holding up for others.

why aren't you using the 377 belt?had mine on for over a month 350 miles on it. 163 xp no problems. all dealers have them get rid of the 166.

Good stuff! thats what i was hoping to hear. not running one yet cause they just became available here on tuesday, but im gonna pick one up today

They had better hold up

They had better hold up, my dealer just gave me two and the warrenty cost is $110 each plus tax. My motor was out of alignment by 4.5 mm. The old belt lasted about 250 miles with that misalignment.

i have had a 365 belt since xmas 900 plus kms not a mark. works great. it is hardly any wider than the 166, so no grooves in the primary.

Mine is doing good, after (2) 166 belts (1) 253 belt and clutch updates. But I'm not bitter. HA! :D:confused::beer;

What are dealers in the lower 48 doing for belt exchange for the 377 ? I have some unused 166's but they want a extra $27.00 to exchange the 166 for the 377. They said if i bring them a 166 with the cords pulling out a a blown one they would trade straight across. Just curious what other dealers are doing.

Still running the 166 after 700 deep snow miles...

Changed up the clutching...and put on a Team Secondary...before it ever saw snow..

I bought 2 377's at $180.00 Cnd each.... OUCH!!! Just put the first 377 on for rippin tomorrow

The 166 still looks fresh....

HEY I got a slightly used 166 belt FOR SALE...going cheap...

Personally I am amazed it is still intact...though would not recommend them...not sure what Doo was thinking there

60 miles each on 3-166 belts before pulled cords (146" X), even after dropping gearing, changing primary spring, adding pin weight and alignment check.

switched to 288 belt. 230 miles on it before getting the 377, 288 still looks new.

traded 1-166 with cord out and 2 brand new 166's straight across for 3 new 377's no charge, first 377 has under 200 miles and looks good as well after 2 days of deep flipper-to-the-bar pow in McBride.

Glad things are looking good for this belt. just picked one up $186cdn so it better work!

can i run one of these on my 07' 800R. Fresh updates, full side vents, and a floating secondary and i still pulled the chord on my 166 after about 350 miles on mostly spring type snow.
