FYI, lets be real and think about all of the changes and costs required to make and retool the assembly line which usually never lowers the MSRP of the sled.

If you wanted to buy the belt drive system from CMX it runs like $2400 for the parts. The skins tunnel/running boards are like $475. Yes I know these are retail prices and that we are comparing apples to apples but I doubt we will see a huge price increase.

Obviously raising the bar has some impact on a price increase period but I am sure it will never get cheaper!

All a mute point if Ski-don't raises the bar with something fantastic. I know, in their eyes it would be fantastic, but rumour is a belt drive for them too. If they come with something radically advanced then Polaris can't overprice themselves.

Really though, I guess we should just wait and see. Not like we can do anything about it one way or another.

There are those out there that would be willing to buy a Pro next year though and leave Ski-doo if Ski-doo didn't do something. To me, it doesn't matter what they release. I don't have a dealer in this town that is worth a poop and I like Polaris and I LOVE the pro. But if you are trying to lure away a Ski-doo owner and prices are close and Ski-doo has something new....you might not get that sale. If you are $1500.00 or $2000.00 less, then you look really attractive. Call it snowmobile googles, if you will.

People didn't read the contest flyer or whatever it was that stated the value of a prize. If they'd taken 2 minute to actually read it, they would have read that the grand prize has total value of $14,500. They just assumed it was the MSRP of the sled.
