The Hypocrisy of Saving the Wilderness from Snowmobilers

This pretty much sums up the how idiotic the "other" side act in so called protecting the forest from the big bad snowmobiler.

We came across this sign on a recently shut down area. As you can see they have banned snowmobiling from the area in an effort to protect the wilderness from snowmobilers. Because of course we damage the trees, scare and kill the wildlife.

As you can see the genius who put up this sign had a big problem. There was a small tree directly in the way. Instead of choosing another of the hundreds of trees in the area, or placing the sign higher, this moron sawed off the tree.

So I ask, who do we really need to protect the wilderness from?

I think the irony in this is priceless. God love the numbskull who put up this sign.

where was this taken at? I am not sure which is worse the small tree cut in front of the sign or the sled tracks behind the sign?

FYI, we didn't cross the boundary. And that sign is new, as in added within the last week and those tracks are far older.

crazy everywhere...a decade back the Feds in our parts wanted to ban sleds from the CHILKOOT gold rush trail area in the Yukon...all pushed by the skiers...they said they wanted the artifacts protected{100 year old garbage left on the trail}...we said they are under 7 ft of snow...????..they then said there is dangerous areas and if they marked them and still allowed us to use the area they could be liable as they knew the danger existed....we countered...the Highways put dotted lines when its okay to pass with vehicles...if we pass on a dotted line and run into someone coming from the other direction is highways responsible because they put the dotted lines..???..well anyway the skiers and us relized we both wanted the same thing...enjoyment...so in this area which is large we have alternating weeks for use for the one area...works great...lots of other areas close to this one on the off weeks...but the GOVERNMENT tried to split divide and conquer..

huh....a sign now...wierd...lol....tree murders!! Next time I'm there I'm riding far beyond the sign to warn the other trees of this barbaric treatment...I'll start in the valley and then shout it from the mountain top.....BRRRAAAAP!!!

Ragged

huh, sure could have done it with out cutting down that poor young tree. Little guy never had a chance.

Ban snowmobiles? Guess how the jackazz even got to that tree.... bet the lazy federal empoyee didn't walk in. It is becoming more and more comon for the huggers to get their way weather it's winter or summer.

Bunch of sonsa*****es anyway!!!

What a priceless photo. You know, the more I research what the "greenie", "enviro", or "extremest" wants, it's not only hypocritical but selfish and uninformed ignorance. That photo is a fine example of how a$$ backwards that thinking is.
