I think you will and I look forward to your birthday ride report. I really don't think it will melt before next winter. :face-icon-small-con Wait is it still winter?

The part I get a kick out of are my parents that live in the mountains and complain about the snow. Duh!!! Move to Arizona people. Sorry, just a little rant. :face-icon-small-win

Snowbird has had 739" of snow this year, a new record. Old one was 688".

They have 178" on the ground mid mountain right now... the most they had on the ground any time this year mid mountain was 183".

But sometime in June it's going to turn off to 100 degrees and that snow will come out of the mountains dang quick... scary quick.

But for now, 2' of fresh snow, we really ought to go ride.

We were up Guardsman yesterday afternoon and it was a blast. 18"-20" of new in a lot of places. It is hard to believe it is the middle of May and there is still that much snow up there. It just unreal. That new snow is so freaking heavy though. I dont know when I have seen heavier snow that high in the mountains. Probably 3 times more water than a usual Utah storm. If you do go ride becareful out there. We saw a few places that slid and the snow is so heavy you wouldn't be able to move under only 6" of snow. Its crazy heavy. Flooding is pretty much a certainty this year. There is still so much water to come down out of those mountains.

I wish Alta kept reporting in May because they had had 723" at the end of April. Could reach 800" if they kept reporting.

To bad they stopped. 800 inches would be something of a boost for next years ticket sales one would think.

Ya no kidding. I would also like to see what they say is they snow depth right now. I know it is always higher than snowbird. Highest I have seen it is 211" in march a few years back. Could be close to that right now.

I have ridden in every month of the year in Utah except for Aug. Could this be my year for an August birthday ride ? Its starting to look like I may get my wish.

Dee Duba U I'm with You! I'm down to ride tomorrow as well. :face-icon-small-coo

I have new parts I need to start wearing out..;)

As much as I love the snow and love to ride, this snow is killing my summer (or at least early summer) business. I am ready for some sunshine.
