THE COOLEST ACCESSORY I'VE SEEN IN YEARS NEW POLARIS HEATED GEAR BAG AND GAUGE LIFTER

Agreed 100%. There is NO way that will dry googles and gloves as good as my underhood bag that sits inches above the exhaust.

I was wondering why they went to a big windshield over the little V deisgn one. Now we know why.

You are partly correct... I can fog/wet goggles like nobodys business... And something next to the exhaust will work better to dry a soaked pair of gloves or goggles.

I will have both this bag/lifter AND the underhood bag as well.

This thing might not be an "oven" but it will keep things nice and toasty, like cameras radios etc.. plus keep it in easy reach.

I rode all day with this and the small Sled Solutions Carryall bag mounted to the handlebars... in conjunction with each other... WICKED Combo... Lots of grab and go storage right where I need it.

Belive it or not... MOST riders prefer the taller windshield... The riders that post to snowest are often a different mindset.

I like the looks of a short windshield...but the function on a cold day is hard to argue.

I would break a windshield a ride if i didn't have a short one! Taller ones add weight too :face-icon-small-ton

I agree with some of the post here. I use a short windshield so I won't be able to use it. I can see how some people have some doubts but wow! I can't believe the negativity. I thought it was cool and might have tried it if it didn't require the tall windshield. I think Polaris was trying to come up with something cool and useful here. I wish I could demo it.

I agree! I love my trimmed shield and handguards... Great idea tho! I have a wrp lifter and cant believe how much heat vents up through the vent!

The principal is awesome, but the height is a little overwhelming. Half the height would be premium for anything I would carry. A step in the right direction for sure.

I'm not wild about the look and you don't want a warm camera. You take a warm camera out of a heated space into cold air.... fogged lens everytime.

I showed the picture to my wife and she said "How do you see?" Too funny. Nice idea but I'll pass. Got my low windshield, cuz I don't want to worry about it while rolling my sled. Don't miss it on cold days except for maybe a little bit of hand protection from the wind.

I still want the tunnel bag and pooboards.

This is a great idea, and I love the innovation that Polaris is bringing to the table, but he11, I don't even have a windshield on my sled! I rolled my sled probably 5 different times last weekend which would be murder on a tall windshield. Great Idea and if I had a tall windshield, I definitely would have this on my sled.

MH, was there room to fit a DSLR camera in there? Might be worth looking into if it really is as rigid as you say.

I've never had that problem. Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't things only fog when going from cold to warm? It would fog after you put it back in the bag... but after a few minutes in there it would defog itself.

I know my sunglasses have never fogged when I get out of the truck. My goggles don't fog when I take them out of the truck and put them on. Neither does my GoPro or camera.

Dubbed the "PRO RIDE Defrost Bag"

I rode last week with this bag on a 2012 for the first part of the day and hated to give it up... I had 2 pairs of 509 Aviators and a pair of glove plus a small camera in a neoprene case.... This thing is Huge inside but does not impede the use of the sled in anyway.

Access from both ends.

The position of the gauge was perfect when standing and still visible when sitting.

For me, this is a "gotta Have" for next season.

Very Cool or warm!

I keep my gopro in a glove, in my underhood heated bag now. Never have a problem with fogging and a warm camera is good for the battery life.

Rolling over in soft snow I don't see being a problem. That windshield is pretty stout, also. Hard snow or a light rag doll'in, might be a different story. Breaking off the key would be a PITA.

Regardless, Poo is really trying to nail this mountain market right now, and redeem themselves for past sins. These PG&A items are huge profit makers for them and the dealers, too.

Now that I have seen the picture, I am just going to cut a hole in my ol Samsonite, get some bunjees and duct tape....

Let's face it Snowesters, most of us are far too vain to be riding around with that contraption on our sleds. I remember when the Pro chassis first came out I would say 90 percent of the people that got them cut their windshields down, including the author of this post. Something tells me that some aftermarket companies may have some knockoffs coming that may be a little lower profile.

MH, thanks for all your info here it's nice to have a direct line to what's coming.
I was thinking about your comment on most riders preferring tall windshields on their PRO and that it's mainly a Snowest thing... or something to that affect.

I was going through my list of people here in Oregon that I know, that have PRO's 2 out 9 have tall windshields. I only think 3 of those guys are regular Snowest posters. Maybe we have warmer riding conditions here or something, or maybe the Snowest community is a pretty good sample of most riders after all??
