Well now that the snow show is over and the mtn's are starting to get some snow..... How about starting to plan a Thanksgiving Ride (depending on conditions)?

Good! I will end up doing turkey day with the family and then taking off late that night or early Friday. We can figure out the details when it gets closer to the ride but I have an enclosed and will more than likely take the Suburban. Have room to take along another sled or two.
Any interest in a couple of semi newbs comin along?
If we have snow and do the ride, join us. Check the post from time to time and we will keep it updated.
I forgot I am actually going home this year for thanksgiving lol. Its been 3 years and I forgot. Would love to ride with some of ya this year and learn some more.
My wife is learning I came from the east so the powder is new. I am building a cheap mod sled so I can have a little fun. Learning as I go here.
Right now I have a zr600 chassis with a new 700EFI no miles in it. Powder coated Pipes, Riser, tunnel extension,2 1/4 inch paddles, ordered gears and a pro-4 clutch, Bar hooks, I think they are Simmons skis, upgraded suspension adjusters, upgraded reeds, and prob more I cant think of right now.
I also have 2 99 powder special 700s. We rode Taylor, Creede, Tog, and a few other places I cant remember off hand since it was our first season.
I would have built a newer better sled but wife is Military and I am DOD so we only have about 18 or so months left here.
Would love to learn from you guys. Great site BTW.

It was 56°f and very windy up there this morning but there are some VERY ominous looking clouds hanging over the Hayden/Craig area. Hopefully it'll cool down and start snowing! I don't know if I can wait till Decermber, might have to make a trip up to Tog, they got pounded yesterday!
Thanksgiving weekend has always been kind in the past - except last year - first year it was bad in like 5 years, IIRC.
You are pretty much guaranteed good snow this winter since I sold my sled - always happens that way / LOL

Normally Thanksgiving is all weekend at Rabbit Ears! Hasn't been good the last 2 years. Keep our fingers crossed.

OK, You guys are going too far with this whole helmet thing..... That's it, I am just going to wear my Hockey Helmet. I can't deside, old school cage mask or 1/2 shield?
