Thank You Everyone.

Hey everyone,

I just wanted to put out a thread to say thank you to everyone that has been there for me and my mom during these last 2 weeks. I don't want to nag and I know it can happen to absolutely anyone, your sled, your age, your riding style. Anything can happen to anyone and I wish the best for all fellow riders. This accident was no ones fault and could have happened to anyone.

For anyone that doesn't know... my Dad, (Darren Tracey), was riding on January 4th with his buddies and he got bucked off of his Nytro, on the road, and got ran over. He was taken to our local hospital and surprised all doctors and nurses. His pelvis, and ankle were shattered, while his vertebrae and hip were also broken. All emergency staff and specialists say he should not be alive but he is and is recoverying very well. He was rushed by ambulance to Foot Hills in Calgary and stayed in the trauma unit for 12 days, he is now in Lethbridge Regional for another 3 weeks before he will be sent home or to our local hospital.

Thank you everyone again for the best wishes and prayers.

Glad to hear your Father is OK,sounds like a terrible accident.
You have to praise the doctors and what medical science are able to do now a days.

Cheers,
Dave

Snocross,

Give your father my best.

As a fellow "old fart", I would love to communicate with him regarding his medical condition. I have also been through a lot to include a plane crash and three major back surgeries this year alone. Attitude is everything; except for support from you, your family, and friends. To be honest, it is going to be harder on your family then it is on him; regardless of what he may think. Still, your families attitude is going to make all the difference in the world. I am speaking from many experiences. Just saying "been there", and willing to communicate same to assist in the best recovery possible.

Safe riding,

Chaos

I hope your father recovers soon. It's always upsetting when you hear of a fellow snowmobiler getting hurt.

From your post it sounds like you have a positive attitude and that will help him :) I've always told people that they are called "accidents" for a reason and not "on purposes"...

Best wishes
