Tethers and the new season

Just a reminder for everyone not using a tether to use one, they are simple to wire in and they are cheap and effective.

If you need a better reason then them saving you from possibly totalling your sled give this thread a read, if you havnt already.

Ski Doo comes with them but they arent that great, make your friend read that thread! Maybe it will change his mind!

Whats not great about them? The plastic clip seems flimsy? does it break? before actually pulling the plug? ( im new and don't know )

Sorry I guess I put that wrong, they do work fine they are just a bit of a pain to use when comparing them to OTHER tethers. Not a reason not to use it though, still get the job done, and Doo actually did it in a smart way where you need the tether in for the sled to run, its the key for the sled. All brands should have their sleds like that right from the factory, just maybe designs slightly better.

The only issue is you never see people actually using the Doo tethers, they just have them clipped to their steering post making the tether useless.

I see thanks... so its kinda like the morons that don't bother to strap their helmet...whats the point in wearing your helmet.. I seen a lot of youtube videos with helmet straps flapping about..

i have used cat oe style and been through 3 in 2 years ,, this year im going with a swedish or something brand ,, found on dennis kirk ..

anyhow i like what i see so far although no real world testing beyond the trailer

easy to install on my 09 M
it hast 2 wires,, your key switch has 2 wires.. just swap

I got to agree with the post about why do they not produce sleds with tethers as they used to?
It puzzles me that the sled I own (-11PRMK) do not have a tether, but the wiring has a plug designated to this originally from the factory(??)

Anywho: I had a few close call myself and got the Pro Armour, and just love it! I'll never ride without again

We put tethers on all our sleds and always wear them. They may be a pain at first but you get used to wearing it.
