Tether

I was able to find a wiring diagram for my Honda and splice a tether into my kill button. It makes the actual kill button inactive but keeps the LED for service codes. Works like a charm.

Might be able to get a diagram from your dealer and splice one in?

Be sure you get the right orientation. Some brands come in "normally open" and "normally closed" circuits.

I got a 2010 crf would you be able to post the wires you used and if its an open or closed on the honda?
I hadnt looked into it because of the blinky light but it runs really good upside down ask me how i know lol

They puke oil out the breather really well when upside down don't they :eyebrows:

Here is the wiring diagram. The Kill button is a normally open circuit so any normally open tether should work. I spliced into the black/white and Red/Yellow wires in the kill button harness behind the number plate. Put the tether on the clutch side and put the button on the throttle side just for the LED in case of electrical issues. Button doesn't work, but still has the LED.

I gotta admit, pulling the tether is a pain in the butt every time you want to kill the motor, I'm going to experiment with splicing the button back in and see if it will work as an either or type deal...

wow thank you very much!

I don't know anyone that uses one. it is no difference then riding in the summer.

Except the chances of getting caught up in the snowbike track and your body chewed up into little tiny bits is drastically higher than getting up in the rear wheel of your dirt bike.

We run the Phantom Teth-Air on our KTM's all summer. Should be a great winter addition too.
