Testing in May 15 2011 Rapid bike Racing

Yeah, Dave tell us some more. Is this some type of closed loop system, a new twist on the RB3........more details please.

Notice when the Nytro is idling at the end that it has the same rattling sound as mine - what is that ? mine sounds the same and seams to be right around the turbo - bothers me so any idea ?

That the electric oil pump

Rapid Bike Racing

New harness and Racing box which has option for My Tuning bike as well.
My Tuning Bike will trim airfuel up to 15% running on wideband O2 sensor.
You can setup cells or colums to the perfect air fuel ratio for each engine setup or type of fuel.
I threw in some numbers and installed Professial Tuning bike and rode it to get a map and next time it will be runing on My Tuning Bike addon.
Racing ECU had timing in the pump correction so it will for a few seconds add timing if wanted.

Rapid Bike Racing

$799. for box and harness. Racing ECU
My Tuning Bike will be about $350.
Kyle Micku was running one for the last few rides on his SkiDoo Turbo as well.

Will this work with the RB3 harness, or do you have to change it out for a different one.

do you run on my tuning bike all the time then, or only a while till it makes a corrected map then it runs on the map.

Does this allow you to load that is "close to right" and then the system will make the changes to make it "very right" for whatever changes might get thrown at it (elevation, temperature, fuel quality....)?

I will call you for more details eventually, but thought others might have some of the same questions.

Racing ECU

Old RB3 harness can only run Professional Tuning bike to build maps.
My Tuning Bike is Autotrim with wideband up to 15% and doesn't change maps. Fail safe always goes back to Racing map .
RB3 guys we are working on adaptor harness to upgrade to new box.
Will let you guys know when we get them.

No price on a MAP sensor?
Hope you didn't fail to mention it because there are no boost pressure sensor available.

Ok, so lets see if I am understanding this.

So you get a map that is pretty good and on those days when the map isn't quite right the my tuning bike will make a correction to the fuel up to 15% plus or minus, based on what the af ratio is? Will this be enough to make up for the regulator being off a little due to temperature/elevation changes, and other factors that the "one map for all situations" just doesn't quite be able to work all the time.

And if the wideband takes a crap then it will revert to the main map. So this is kind of a closed loop with a 15% limit???

Thanks,

kirk

Edit: Shows what I know, bought sled with turbo on it, is there a electric oil pump that is quiet ?

Pull your blow off hose off and see if it quits. I had a nitro in the shop and his blow off valve was hammering with the vaccumm fluctuation. we had to shorted the spring on the turbo smart just so it wouldnt hammer..and stay open while idling.

My Tuning bike on Racing ECU

I run Nytro on Saturday and it went very well.
Italy give me word this morning that we can just keep old harness and run adaptor harness that can also use My Tuning Bike with it.
Should have them in about 4 weeks.
I set My Tuning Bike to trim after 2000 RPM and will be playing with more settings this week.

Bottom end ?

Bottom end was not setup for running in the mountains!
High gearing.
Heavy drag weights which don't let it rev quick!
My Tuning bike can be turned on to touch up bottom end .
Also this motor is strong and fresh as I had checked it out a couple of weeks ago.
Everyone that has rode this new Racing ECU says it pulls harder then before at lower boost.
Was a great day and got a sunburn!

You got it! Closed loop with the ability to set when it trims and how much it can trim +/-. It is adjustable from 0-15 +/- on two sliders so you can set it up to just remove, just add, or both.

The biggest improvement over the Rb3 to the racing version is the fact that it averages between the cells. The RB3,2,and 1 do not do this, if you are in one cell that is 20 and the next cell to it is 30 it jumps from 20 to 30 when it changes cells. This is why one map doesnt work for every situation. The racing version will start at 20 and increase to 30 until it is in that cell. This makes for a very good running engine and as close to a standalone controller as you can get and still stay piggyback.

So how much messing around will there be. I do not pretend to understand how to write maps (that is what Dave is for). So will Dave be able to just send out a map (that is close) and then with this Racing version the sled will make any changes to keep the sled running at peak performance with no fear of the af getting too lean (and causing boom) or too rich (and running like a pig). Is the 15% enough to take care of most any forseeable change to the base map needed. This past season I found I was running pig rich not due to the map, but due to me having the regulator a tad too high. Will this be able to compensate for something like this.

Thanks

kirk

In a boosted application lack of boost sensor makes it worthless in my opinion.
Not anwering my two q above tells me that there are no boost sensor availible for this module.
