Temp sensor on back order, can I run?

Situation, I am leaving for a 5 day trip into the bush to go fishing. Sled is not going to see a lot of miles, slow speeds and "easy" riding. If you have read my last few posts, you will see that it is not reving out right.
My question is, it the temp sensor is bad, can I run it without doing damage?

Thanks Guys.

I can't answer your question, but I have a brand new temp
Sensor I can sell you, PM if your interested

When I have had temp sending unit failures the sled ran so poorly you couldn't really ride it. I can't see how you could take a sled like that on a trip. I'd find one somewhere before you go. SLP makes a bypass resistor you should get, I keep one in my pocket now, don't leave home without it.

Thanks jay, i'll definitely look into the resistor, I am sure any one with the right setting would work. Think I found the issue. Looks like one of the needle retainers was loose and the needle was free floating in the carb. Going to test tonight.
