i've got a 07 phazer and the temp light is always coming on. i've installed an exhaust on it and was wondering if that would of caused it to run too lean and make it run hot? is there a way to adjust the fuel injection to richen it up or is there something else to try?

Have you checked the coolant level? Riding hardpack trails? I would try some ice scratchers.
coolant level is good. it has happened while riding in 1-2' of pow not so much on hardpack trails.
We use '08 phazers as guide sleds where I work. The temp lights do tend to come on a lot. Most of the time, its from riding hard pack on a warm day. But I've also seen them come on quite a bit in deep snow because the air intake gets stuffed with powder. It gets so bad the engine just plain quits sometimes because it's not getting any air intake at all. Don't know what to tell you there, other than maybe think about installing extra vents. My opinion is that they're poorly designed sleds overall, but that's just my 2 cents.
