Company has an opening at Albeni Falls Dam near Newport Wa.

looks like a nice little town, should have plenty of dirt bike single track and snowmobiling, is it wet and rainy like Washington state

Thanks

Been through there a few times, location is great, not to far in any direction puts you into great riding (snowmobiling) not sure about bikes. Weather, two seasons very cold in the winter, hot and dry in the summer. If you could make a living in that part of the state, sounds like you've got that covered, I wouldn't hesitate to live there. Lots of big lakes and rivers nearby in the summer months if you have a boat. A couple of good ski areas nearby, huntings good, golf courses are nice and cheap.

I lived in Newport for 5 years, great place for any motor sport, water sport or Hunting. Its a small town with a very friendly population, they can get flat hammered with snow and I personally seen 40 below weather, you will be surrounded by mountians.

There are more than abundent places to sled, too many to name, when I lived there we left right from my shop. I have seen years when the snow pack has been very small, so don't assume you will have Wet western Washington weather cause you won't, summer gets hot and dry with beautiful fall and spring weather. You will be so close to Canada, Idaho, Montana.

The economy is most always depressed and social life can be difficult, as with any small town. If you move there remember to keep your personel life to your self or all will know your buissness before you do, If I could convince my wife to move there when I retire I would never look back. If you choose to take the job, you will find housing cheap.

Good luck

Can't remember the name, but the Mexican place across the street from the Newport Inn makes great 2$ margaritas . . .

Typical small town and straddles the WA/ID border. I like it there but only visit, have never lived there.

Get a hold of EricW for the low down. He's lived in that area for a while.

It was a Hamburger place before that, I liked the Falls Inn on HWY 57 headed toward Priest Lake, it also sits right on the Bear Paw road, great place for a cold beer and sandwich. It is the only Bar and grill that has a River running underneath and a water fall in front of the Bar.

Yeah, the falls is the best place to stop after riding priest all day. Oh, and the name of the Mexican restaurant is Rancho Alegre
