Anyone been up to Gallagher from Teanaway lately? Before I make the trip that way I was wondering if any of the warming melted the bridges out.

Thanks

If ur talking about heading up N Fork, was closed for logging most of the year. Now that it's open, no new snow and gonna be ugly getting up to the riding areas????????????

Is the sledding "usually" better in the North Fork area say vs. trying to find a place to park at the top of Blewett? Do you off-load at that 29 pines campground? We have camped in that area in the summer and wondered what the sledding is like there. Just curious. Thanks!

Depends on where ur going....If up to Longs Pass, Van Epps, Lake Ann, etc, best to go outta Salmon La Sac this year....Do to logging, N FK simply not much of an option this year....If u want to do Blewett, makes no real sense to go in from 29 pines........Just drive to Blewett........

Thanks , may have to try that area out next year , unless winter decides to make a comeback this year. I was not thinking of getting to Blewett from there , just wondering if the area was better.

Thanks for the info guys hopefully there is some more snow by our next trip on the 25th

Pretty good riding today...

We just got back from a day at Gallaher. I am exhausted so I will post more info and better pics later, but it was actually really good :face-icon-small-hap probably the best day of boondocking so far this year and we've been riding since Nov 14th. I wasn't honestly expecting it :face-icon-small-sho most areas we found had a good 8"-12" fresh and wasn't icy at all.

I will toss up a few pics to show a bit of the snow conditions. They aren't good by any means, but do show you a bit of what we found. My camera's setting were WAY off, so they are dark and fuzzy (sorry) but you get the idea. I didn't get too many in the really great areas as we were to busy playing to stop an snap pics . I will put up better ones tomorrow.

I have to give a huge "kudos" to the groomer... it's amazing how well the road has handled the weather and I think personally it's because of how it was groomed. They obviously worked hard to fill in the damaged areas from mid January and it has held really well. So, thank you :D

We were there until dark and didn't have any rain. Only once do I remember a gusty area and it was up toward Hawkins and it wasn't too bad. We were boondocking a bit lower, below the clouds. It was cloudy up top, still rideable, but we had much more fun lower, in the trees. Lake had the normal holes and coverage was good. We didn't expect much and were pleasantly surprised.

Different good. Pics are on my buddy camera. 12-14" fresh on a base that allows carving. A few face shots had! Snowed all morning. Socked in up high. Made it up to around 6k' once briefly and if felt noticeably deeper/better.

Snowed all morning! I think winter's back!!

the goat trails in are hurting!!!! serious carnage if you're not careful.. rewards lay up top but damn those crossing are getting worse! need some low land snow there badly!

Very true. Take tools for snow bridging. Creeks running good, not impassable but be ready to build snow bridges at some spots.
