Team Helix Question 600 HO RMK

My sled has reverse - and thus the secondary has a helix in it that works in reverse.

My question is this: Can I run a helix that does not have the reverse cuttouts as long as I don't put it in reverse? I want to try a different angle and then order the proper helix. Am I going to hurt anything by trying this?

Thanks guys

That will work fine and won't hurt a thing. If you do happen to forget and put it in reverse, the only thing that will happen is the secondary will open up on you and the belt will slip. Put it back in forward and away you go.

The 38 made a night and day difference in mine. I have a 62-38 / .40 in mine now with a black/white secondary spring and It seem like in really steep climbs it backshifts into the steeper angle. I just bought a 56-38 .36 and I will let you know how it works. I would also do either the black/purple or black/whit spring with it and the delrin washers.

I'm running 10-56 weights, and I'm not sure what springs at this point - a friend of mine is setting it up for me.

I'm going to try a 56-38/.46 this weekend and see how it works.

I think stock it has a 62-42/.40 or something like that.

Last year I was running 10-54's - SLP Blue/Pink primary spring and stock secondary spring and helix. Worked pretty well, but I wanted higher engagement and harder pulling so I'm experimenting this year. May have to throw in the 54's when I go 11k or higher.

Yeah, that sounds right.

We'll see how she runs this weekend, it's already DEEEEEP on the Mesa and much, much more coming today and tomorrow. I'll let you know how it goes.
