team clutch tss04

does anyone have any recomendations on what helix and spring to run . i have a 99 700 xc 151 2" track twin slp pipes and can, slp head and some other minor stuff done. we do mostly mountain and boondock riding 3-9000 ft im not sure of my gearing i do know the top gear is 21t. thanks

I would recommend you sell the Team and put the button back on it and get a 52/34s helix from Carl's cycle for it.

Unless you are running reverse the Team isn't the best option.

On 700s with Teams we ran the stock '03 800 Vertical Escape helix and spring if the customer was dead set on running a Team.

the team clutch

it is hands down the best improvement you can make on and older Polaris with my set up it will kick any thing but in getting the power to ghe ground. If the team clutch was not so good then asll the race teams just don't know chit!! Polaris, Skidoo and Yamaha run the cats driven is so close to the same it is not funny. Pm me for more info

don't be afraid of a team clutch....I would try a helix simliar to the new 600 rmks.....54-44-.36 and a 140-240 spring. The team has much better on/off response than a button clutch, start tuning with 58-60g wts and 21-42 gears. The high belt temps were mainly caused by insufficent belt sqeeze ie 66 degree helix, and spring binding. Use a Ti spring in the team if you can find one....and a delrin washer under the spring cup.

but the button's were faster. still are. but the team's take less maintenance to keep them at their peek performance (and they have the reverse option). although i have run a team on my last few sleds and on the new one, i'd probably go with what sled_guy said for the older 700s. but that's just me. good luck whichever way you go.

Yea, TEAM is great if you want to go slower and build more belt heat.

I'm just saying I would spend my money other places on a non-reverse sled than on a TEAM clutch.
