TCP Front Bumper

Does anyone have some close up pictures of the TCP front bumper on their Pro ? Pictures on website are a bit small and would like to see some different angles and mounting points. Thanks.

I don't think this is quite what you want to see, but it's all I've got. The side anchors are riveted to the belly pan. I don't think they wanted to anchor to the shock towers for fear of destroying them in a hit. Very sturdy twist resistant bumper.

Just stopped by Tri city today and looked at the bumper. Nice quality. The mounting points are just forward of the shock tower and the side bars get a backing plate with the plastic side pannel sandwich between.
Strong and good enough to lift the sled and take a shot, I like the idea that it would deflect a tree and not get caught behind the grab tube.i

Is the belly pan attachments strong enough to not destroy the belly pan on an impact? I do like this tho a lot.

I would have to take a closer look at it. It seemed strong as a bolted up unit and attaches to the stock location.
Next time I am down there I will stop in and have them remove the hood and see just what the down support attaches to and take some pictures.

Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks :)

I guess same question as above then, are the belly pan mount points strong enough that the belly pan won't be completely crumpled after an impact?

Is there any real world impacts ever happened with this bumper yet? What was the aftermath. I'm looking at bumpers right now and I really like this one, I just want to know how well it performs. Thx.

Of the hundreds we have sold, I have yet to see one bent from impact. That doesn't mean it won't or can't, I just havent seen or heard of one yet. I have personally hit some good size quakies, enough to stop the sled dead in it's tracks, with no damage to the bumper, chassis, or belly pan. There is aluminum backing plates that install on the inside of the belly pan.

whats the reasoning for 3 bolts on the left side, but only 1 on the right?

is there enuf room to get a gloved hand in on the sides?

will it still fit under the stock cover?

ordering parts before the new sled arriaves....and looking at bumpers right now

kinda between this one (TCP/WRP) and skinz right now......lol

I had one...went back to the polaris extreme. TCP was strong and great quality but IMO could be too strong. I broke both bumper tabs off my over-structure and bent the TCP bumper, so now I am out 2x for one bumper. Polaris Extreme gives before the rest does, I'd rather spend only the amount of the bumper.
The TCP also makes it a pain to close the panels...Just my experience, it is still a well built product, no denying that.

Of all the bumpers I've seen othe the the Fastrax The Tri-city is the nicest and becuase of the price I went with it. Another problem I've seen with the polaris bumper is with the open ends pulling your sled backwards in tight trees trees get hung up in it. I did have to trim my panels but ever so slightly and there is a natural line to fallow so it was no big deal. It also held up well this season.

Where did you mount your gage? Apparenly it is fine to run without headlight hooked up. How much weight did you lose? Does fine snow come through the mesh. Sorry about derailing the thread.

Dont want to be rude, but the Polaris Extreme is fugly. And the finish is poor.

I'll be the first to admit that the Po Extreme doesn't look nearly as good as the TCP, but I like it better for the reasons I listed. I hated the look of it but it grows on you and for the price I get them at I'd rather go through a few of them over one TCP.
And as far as fit and finish, the ones I have had looked just fine to me?

I think the TCP/ WRP bumpers look really nice. I like its design that it can't get caught on trees/ debris, etc. Very nice.

I hit the stock bumper and broke off the mounting tabs. Welded tabs back on and went with the TCP bumper. A bit more protection and looks good. Been happy.

careful with those tabs. I welded mine back on too, broke off even easier than the first time. I think the B&M Fabrication has the right idea with their design for mounting. I think I am ordering one from them next to try out since I just wasted my third bumper this season! :face-icon-small-sho
