Tax Credit approved!

Absolute bull....! I won't get it because I make too much money, but someone who doesn't make enough to even pay taxes will get a check.

You have to understand.
Most people don't think like we do.
They will get the money and spend it in a couple days on stupid stuff.
My neighbor is already pricing out a big screen TV. The guy can't make his house payment but he is going to get a new TV.

The average person is basicly stupid when it comes to money.

We call those people democratic voters.

PS, what does he want for his old TV? I need to upgrade from my 10 Y/O 21 incher.

Damn :( now I gotta go around and find all the woman bearing my child so I can do a new boost project.

Looks like Congress passed the bill for The USA version of the oil credit:(

Individual taxpayers would get up to $600 in rebates, working couples $1,200 and those with children an additional $300 per child under the agreement. In a key concession to Democrats, 35 million families who make at least $3,000 but don't pay taxes would get $300 rebates.

The government will find a way to spend $1200 per $600 rebate, completely defeating the purpose of the rebates...

Heard the Cocaine and Crack distributors are expecting a big run this summer. WalMart shares should go up. Beer and cigarette companies should do go. The Lotto is printing extra tickets. Tattoos, casinos, and Bling for the Harley. Wonder how many are already taking loans out on the money they will get?

Oh, and anyone who didn't pay taxes, your welcome to the money I paid in. Since I make too much, I won't be getting any. (It's still welfare no matter what you call it. No reward for personal responsibility.) I look at it as paying off the Mob so that they won't tear down my civilization.

Personally, if you get earned income credits for more than 4 years in a row, you should be kicked out of the country and replaced with someone willing to work. There.

Yha, I know some people really need/deserve the money, but I really don't care right now.

And then next year when we go to do our taxes we'll be penalized for accepting this rebate just like we were a few years ago. Lose-lose situation.

What is wrong with our economy? Only that so many people did so well for so long they thought housing prices would go up forever and they never really would have to pay it back. What do they do? Buy homes thay can't afford on ARMs then cry when things slow down a little for the first time in many many years. Other than that, nothing. The ill informed that buy into this"our economy is in the toilet" CNN mentality are also the ones that are driving jacked up 4X4s that never leave the pavement at 80 mph on the highway while paying $3/gal for gas. If you were really hard up you would be driving a subaru at 45mph.
How bad are things? For the first time in 52 MONTHS, new jobs are down. An all time record for this country. I say Great job Mr Bush! Ya wanna see bad? Elect Hillery or the muslum, O. Hussen Obama, you have no idea what bad is yet.

PS, if you want my job, feel free to pick up a gun and go to Iraq and take apart bombs. If not, then stop your crying.

Well said!

Well everyone is ranting, I'm gonna go ahead and b%tch about Social Security. I just got my tax stuff from work and for the christs sake!!! I'm paying in that kinda money for something I will never see. It wouldn't be so bad if all the old fugs that I'm paying for weren't the same pricks who always voted against school referendums when my school actually needed it. Or that sit around and complain about my generation(yeah we got some f'ed up kids)when I'm busting my ace every day and paying a good chunk of that money into SS. Ok I'm done now.

We don't have a solution to the social security problem yet but HEY let's give out money! Morons...to be continued.

if your single and make over 75 you will get a reduced amount, if you make more then 87 you will get the goose egg. This is adjusted gross income. Might have to start thinking of deductions.

They are trying for the hypotetical "quick easy fix".

Lower interest rates - cheap money, people will borrow
Lower Taxes - Refunds - Same (I belive JFK did this in the 60's).

Bottom line. Everything is outsourced, made over seas (even many of our snowmobile parts).

People do not want to work anymore. Working over a 40 hour work week for many is unheard of. I went through a kill plant (cattle) not to long ago. They had 90% of their employee's hispanic (yea probably lots of illegals). The hispanic's were the only ones they could get to work there. THey paid $14 a hour plus PTO, health insurance ect. Jeez, for a highschool kid/college kid, or somebody right out of highschool without any work experience, seems like a decent job. Seems not, thus why the hispanic workers.

I see it as, We as Americans have become lazy and do not appreciate what we truely have. Other places see what we have, and want it, so they are going to have to work for it. I see the only way out of this slump is to work harder for it.

i dont agree with this rebate at all. Jesse V did it a while back and it always comes back to bite you in the arse.
Yup. Some americans have become lazy.

Have you ever tried to hire someone under 30 to do manual labor? The half that know how to work have solid jobs so we are left with the lazy half. They think Im going to pay them to stand around and smoke all day. They have to be lorded over or they get nothing done and what they do get done is half azzed. Then as soon as they have beer and cig money for a few days they stop showing up untill they are broke again then think Im going to take them back.
We need a guest worker program.
What we dont need is this rebate. What we need even less is giving it to people that make more than 30/40K a year. It's a drop in the bucket for the rest and I fail to see how it will help the real problem which is stupid investors buying houses they can't afford on ARMs then wanting us to bail them out. Live with in your frikking means! If you can't pay for a new Hummer and a 4500 Sq/ft home on one income, don't buy them:eek:

I just wonder how many people that are loosing there homes have gone out and got a second job at night to make the bills? Always janator and fast food work out there.
