Tax Credit approved!

Looks like Congress passed the bill for The USA version of the oil credit:(

Individual taxpayers would get up to $600 in rebates, working couples $1,200 and those with children an additional $300 per child under the agreement. In a key concession to Democrats, 35 million families who make at least $3,000 but don't pay taxes would get $300 rebates.

I fail to see how this will help anything? Payments won't come out untill after May and it's chump change anyway.... A day or two's wages for most. The number crunchers seem to like it though...I too am confused:face-icon-small-dis

So my wife and I work thats 1200, two kids thats 600? So thats 1800. You make that in a couple days damn I want your job LOL.

i'll take it, but I fail to see how it will work. Most of my taxes are going to pay off loans not buy stuff and spur the economy. Maybe a small amount for mods(200 or so).

I don't believe the crap these so called experts come up with to save our sinking economy. Give everyone some money that we have to borrow 150 billion from foreign investors WTF.
We need too get back to creating wealth the old fashion way, new technology, pulling resources out of the ground, manufacturing products we can sell to the rest of the world.
How the hell can going shopping with borrowed money at Wallmart get our economy back on track, I am so dissapointed in the powers too be I want to vomit.
Good article if you have the time to read it.

Timbersled Money!!!!!

What is with the Dem's though??? Why do they keep wanting to give handouts to the lazy *** people in the US??? I don't get it?? Yes some of them might not be able to work and need the $$$ but how many I bet the % is very low.

I agree with Diesel too if it ment they would put the $$$ into something that would lower the amount we as the US ow others I would be all for that.

OK, give my $600 to Halliburton and I'll come up with my own snowcheck $.

What is wrong with our economy? Only that so many people did so well for so long they thought housing prices would go up forever and they never really would have to pay it back. What do they do? Buy homes thay can't afford on ARMs then cry when things slow down a little for the first time in many many years. Other than that, nothing. The ill informed that buy into this"our economy is in the toilet" CNN mentality are also the ones that are driving jacked up 4X4s that never leave the pavement at 80 mph on the highway while paying $3/gal for gas. If you were really hard up you would be driving a subaru at 45mph.
How bad are things? For the first time in 52 MONTHS, new jobs are down. An all time record for this country. I say Great job Mr Bush! Ya wanna see bad? Elect Hillery or the muslum, O. Hussen Obama, you have no idea what bad is yet.

PS, if you want my job, feel free to pick up a gun and go to Iraq and take apart bombs. If not, then stop your crying.

Thought you were home in bed with some sort of back ailment?
If your back on your feet, congratulations on your recovery; if not, get well soon and Gods speed! :beer;

I'm going to take that check and contribute to the economy alright. It will be saved. I have done very little contributing to the economy in my life. I have owned 1 new pickup paid for, 2 new cars, paid for, have bought 2 new sleds, paid for, and built a house 22 years ago for 67K and paid for it in 18 years. Everything else I have owned in my life have been bought used. Every vehicle I have owned I have kept for at least 10 years with the exception of my first which was a 63 Rambler Wagon, only had it 3 years,Itore the heck out of it in high school, best 50 dollars I ever spent. I do not think I will be stimulating the economy, with this money. I will leave that up to the ones who get the refund who have not paid a dime into taxes. I am sure the tobacco and beer companies and the casinos will appreciate the 300 dollars they get from those worthless people. Everyone is entitled to a hand up but alot of people think they are entitled to a hand out. RANT OVER AHHHHHH!

I wont get one:(

But I think most people will pay of bills so I don't think it will help. At least the smart thing to do would be save it or pay down bills but most people will prolly just pizz it away I guess.

.

The growth in the US has been one giant ponzi scheme for the last 6 years, we should have went into a prolonged downturn after the dot com bust and figured out how to make real economic growth. Instead we get 1% interest rates and let everyone and their brother leverage up on debt that they have no way to pay back unless the assests keep rising 20% a year, not just homeowners but banks, hedge funds, big business.
Now "POP" we realize we don't have squat and the rest of the world knows it also.
I think I will take the money and buy beer at least it's made in the US.

TATTOOS, don't forget the welfare phucers with all the tattoos that you and I paid for!

You have to understand.
Most people don't think like we do.
They will get the money and spend it in a couple days on stupid stuff.
My neighbor is already pricing out a big screen TV. The guy can't make his house payment but he is going to get a new TV.

The average person is basicly stupid when it comes to money.
