TApex What to do to Stop Oil blowing out!

Snake River -
even the built motors are blowin oil if over filled, and by over filled I mean more than the motor will hold not what the oil on the dipsick says
cause if a guy goes off of the stick it will be over filled by 1/4 to 1/2 quart and the first hard pull a guy takes it blows that amount out of the breather hose

and as well it dumps oil into the turbo if layed on the turbo side for any period of time, or rolled, but you start it after and she smokes like a two stroke for a minute and then runs fine

So I think it is just the quarks of the Boondocker kit ??!!??!!, and oil tank combo ??!!??!!??!!

My motor has a fresh set of 9 to 1 pistons, perhaps they have not seated well yet but I do not have any reason to believe there is any damage to the motor. My sled just hit 1200 miles and the pistons and turbo have about 350 miles on them.

Maybe I should run a non synthetic oil for a few hundred miles to give the rings a better chance to seat?

I know a guy who is running a built 2007 Apex with the carrilla rods and the wiseco pistons 9:1 , and he has about 2400 miles on it and has ran nothing but yamalube 0w-30 full senthetic

and he tells me after the first hard pull or just going balls out down the road away from the truck the sled burps out the top bit of oil and then is fine ??!!
he also carries extra oil in his sled just in case
but he is looking at switching to a different oil, ( Mobil 1, 5w-30 ) to see if the different weight changes anything

as well he has talked to Dustin @ Outlaw and he says that a stock Apex will not consume oil ,but a turboed Apex will consume a couple of millaliters a ride ??, what ever that is worth

this same guy has had a couple oil leaks ?? maybe that would have something to do with the oil blowing from the breather hose ???
the oil leaks where at the valve gasket, one of the half moon shaped rubbers would not seat, and would blow oil or drip oil down the case and onto the primary clutch and the belt took it to the secondary, scarring both sheeves on both clutches
the other leak he had was the return line on the BD oil tank, the line kinked and was dumping oil on the secondary, and the same as above happened again!!!

Just a couple ideas :)

does anyone eles have a problem with oil draining into the turbo when sled is on its side for any length of time ??
and of course it will throw error code 30 when this happens
but you turn it off and then back on and it is fine :)

Just my 0.02 cents :)

I frogot to mention that the above mentioned guy is running 18lbs to 24 lbs and has been for quit a while ( 1500 miles ) ??!! or so

maybe high boost has to do with it ??

I have a TRX1 with an alpine kit, No blow by at 16psi.
Try a leak down if you have not done one yet. If the % is up above 10% or so. Squirt a little oil in the cycl. and bring it up again. If the % drops noticably than its the rings or cycl. wall wear.:D

Im tellin you guys there is such thing as too much boost for stock internal engine! Just my 2 cents- I have seen alot of it, give a person a controller and they are bound to turn it up!

IT IS THE DESIGN OF THE BOONDOCKER KIT MINE DID THIS WITH 5 MILES ON IT WITH 10 LB OF BOOST. The water bottle is the best idea

Ran the hose clear to the nose and used a power aid bottle as my catch bottle, worked great and I doubt even a teaspoon full of oil came out all day total.

A small amount of oil can make a big mess.

Thanks for the idea.
