whats the best snow park to park at to get to these areas? I'm moving to Bellingham in a few weeks and want to plan out some good riding areas this winter. thanks.
Off hwy 12 there are a couple snoparks near Rimrock lake that u can access the Ahtanum.
Ahtanum has winter recreation parking(DNR -Discover pass required [no snopark permit]), not to be confused with a snowpark(snopark permit required).
U must become familiar with the Discover pass and when /where it is necessary.

I-82, exit 36 to Union Gap. Go west on Ahtanum Road to Tampico. Go west on A-2000 (Middle Fork Road) for 9.5 miles.
Doesn't sound right to me?
I-82 follow ahtanum road for 15miles? To Tampico, there is a fork in the road (right is North fork left is south fork) go right, about 10 miles the pavement ends, follow the signs to the parking lots.
