Tampico Grooming Update

As this is being typed, Vic is moving the groomer up and will begin grooming all areas by noon today. It has finally snowed enough the last 2 days to have a bottom to the snow due to warmer temperatures.

Riley Creek logging is now done on the Middle Fork, and the operation on the North Fork is done according to information given to me this am.

Vic said he would be up grooming all afternoon, and into the evening, so if you go up riding, please keep an eye out for him while riding. If anything changes from this information, I will update it as soon as possible.

Heimbig,
Yes.

MTNytro,
I appreciate your updates, and give Vic a "hello" for me. I hope we can hold this snow for a while (latest forecast is for more rain New Years day=YUCK!)

Tampico

This is a little off topic, but being new to the area, I need some info. We have had some discussion at work regarding Cascade Park. The ATV guys are saying the area is closed to all motor vehicles (they even called the DNR), but I have talked to some sledders and they say the snow park is on private property and the land owner opens it up to sledders as long as they take care of the area and don't abuse it. So what is the truth?

And is anyone riding on Friday? Might be up for it, not sure yet.
