Anyone know of any manufacturer that makes a tall size vest? What are the tall guys out there wearing for chest/rib protection for mountain riding?
I've got a 661 core saver and I am looking for some better rib protection.
Broke a couple eating the bars hard last year...Thanks

I'm pretty tall, 6'1''-ish... Would like a tall tekvest, but the one I got fits me nicely. I *think* they make them in a tall flavor, likely be difficult to find though.

Yeah I haven't been able to yet... I have tried the pressure suits on and they are the same length or shorter in some cases. The snocross guys must know something. I am wondering if they wear a kidney belt type of deal too?

im 6'1" w a long torso (longer than most)
i use the EVS Revolution 4
it works well

here is the website : http://www.evs-sports.com/

it says most sizes fit all, so i was sketchy,
i bought it on ebay for $49 brand new
it fits awesome, non restrictive and very comfy

i am 6'4" and wear a klim tekvest. it is super light weight and just covers my ribs. i was in the same boat but could not find anything that safely covers the lower ribs. if my vest slips up i will probably be in trouble but i couldnt find anything that fits a tall thin guy. good luck and keep us posted.

You can have a tek vest custom made...if you're willing to pay out of the back side for it. I'm 6'6" 270, closest thing I could find didn't fit worth a sh!t, and I'm not ok with paying full retail on a tek vest + whatever they want to charge to custom make it.

I really like the motocross stuff.

It is not hot like the snowmobile gear.

One lesson I learned though; if you do go with the hard moto cross gear, do not buy it too big. I have one set that is too wide at the chest and at the end of the day my arms are so bruised up it is wrong.

You want to make sure that when you put your arms straight out in front of you that your bicepts are not rubbing on the protector.

You can really take a hard shot to the chest from the handle bars with the moto cross gear without it hurting you.
