Taking orders for 2010 IQR Mt.Conversions.

I don't know were to post this so I will start here since I have helped many folks on the site with their IQR projects.

I am taking orders for next years custom IQRs, in the past I have purchased new sleds on my own then built them to spec through out the year. This year I can not afford to do this, so I am taking orders and looking for commitments so I can get new sleds on the way in March.
I will have time to build 4 complete new sleds this year as I did last year, they will be ready by the October 1 or before, Currently on spot is filled.
I have built 16 of these sleds since 05, this is the only chassis that I will be working with this year.
Here are some photos of last years sleds and some past sleds.
My focus is building light nimble boondock sleds, I don't have the interest to install 4 stroke motors or triple's into these chassis so If that is of interest I would steer you towards another builder.
Thanks for your support.
Winter.

TTT Shannon builds some great sleds seen them in person at the snow shows and nothing is overlooked.

Out of curiosity what would it cost for you to build one like the one on the right in the first pic in a 144 camoplast crossover track and a cleanfire 600 in it (Can you even put a cleanfire 600 in one? You can PM a price if you would like.

As always the pics look great!!

When the time comes to upgrade my M7 and nothing from the big 4 wows me. I might seriously consider one of these IQRs. What would one of these with an 800CFI run a guy give or take?

If you built it, 10-15 grand. Ohh and don’t forget a whole year of figuring out everything ang getting the bugs worked out.

Not sure what winter charges but I am sure it’s worth it. You have no idea how many headaches building one of these sleds involves.

I just bought a set of Orange IQR a-arms from winter and they look awesome and he gave me a great deal.

Winter is an awesome dude and he can trust that I will be buying more from him in the future!

BTW I am sending your money out tomorrow. Sorry about the long wait.

FYI, my sled is 510-520 WET, meaning full of ALL fluids and I built mine on a poor mans budget. I am sure winters sleds are around 460-480 wet. BTW, a rev XP tips the scale at 529 pounds wet and does not have the ergonomics, strength, performance, power, and or the ease to work on as these sleds do.

I think the last one there my buddy bought it is one sweet sled to look at, but the seat bent on him already.

No seats

I think the last one there my buddy bought it is one sweet sled to look at, but the seat bent on him already.

Yes, I spoke with him about this, the seat was a one off, lets try it kind of deal and very light, I had mentioned that it may be best to replace it as I had no idea how it would hold up, he said it did great until the end of the year when he want ripping down a wooped out trail sitting down, needless to say it bent, I have had lots of interest over the last couple years from folks wanting a like that seat made or one built for their sled, I wouldn't do it because of the strength issue.
I think you could build one stronger one of course, but mostly I think it is just for looks as you said, not very effective as a seat, unless you put a shock under it, which I have also done, this is a whole other story.
I am trying to get back to you all on PM's

The black one with the crazy seat had a 600 turbo, I won't do another one of those either as it had some over oiling issues which clogged the turbo and it did not perform as is should have, I believe the turbo set-ups are more reliable these days but it is still a gamble.

Costs

Keep in mind when looking to build one of these sleds, the type of riding/conditions you are going to spend the majority of your time in.
I also prefer to build from new sleds with new parts, this keeps the suprises to a minimun
This chassis is at it's best as a light weight, extremely tough boondock sled.
Keep this in mind when PM' ing me.
Have an idea of your budget, do a little research on the parts you would like to have on the sled this will give you an idea of final sled cost, I will try and steer you away from things that I feel don't work with this chassis or things I have tried and didn't like.
Things to keep in mind when going CFI you need the large RAW tank and the correct airbox, lots of chassis modes need to be done, this also pushes the rider position back a little more then I prefer, this changes the balance of the chassis a little bit.
If you go CFI turbo the airbox is small enough so the seat and tank can remain close and proper.
I know my limitations, I don't do 4 strokes or triples, I can steer you to the right person if that is your dream sled.
I am focusing of sleds under 420lbs dry, with very durable AFM parts rather then super lightweight fragile parts.
If you stay within tested paramiters in the building of your machine you will have a sled you won't want to part with.
Currently, I have two spots left for custom builds, I will also have two very nice sleds with a few hundred miles or less available this spring.
