tach lights flash when electrical load is applied

I have an 05 Rev X 800> I replaced the stator at the begining of the year (blew the recoil up at the end of last year and took the stator with it) and the sled has been running good. Noticed on the last ride I am getting blinking lights on the tach and code 9-9 flashes when I put on hand warmers or highbeam or apply the brake...basically any kinda of electrical load. My thumb warmer doesn't work either unless I put on the highbeams. Other than annoying and going through tailight bulbs it runs great. Any ideas guys?

hm. i love wiring. neither of my gauges have worked since i bought the sled. and ive had the wiring inside and out on it and still cant figure it out. id find out what you need to do to olm your voltage regulator. could be shot.

ok going crazy. I have totally unhooked the harness going to the handle bars....not the issue. I un hooked the tail light not the issue. now when it is ideling the tach is jumping all over the place then tach will die then come back up but as soon as I put hand warmers on or anything the tachh dies and the warning lights start to flash. I checked voltage at the tailights and I have 5 volts at idle and by the time I rev it up to 6000 rpm's it goes to 13.5 volts. I checked the ohm's on the stator yellow(1) to yellow (2) is 1.0 ohms, yellow (1) to green is 1.0 ohms, and yellow (2) to green is 1.0 ohms. is that good. I am thinking either stator or voltage reg. Like I said the sled how ever runs like a top?????????
