I am selling my 2 stroker and movin up the 4 stroke turbo world. have a local t-vector i can get fairly cheap in good condition and low milage.... is it as good as an apex? i'm new to the yamaha sleds... i've always rode polaris until i rode a couple turbo's this year and now i want one... any advice would be great.
thanks jkinzer

The vector i am looking at has a maverick track and an alpine turbo set up for 10-18 lbs of boost, with work done by outlaw motorsports

If its already setup and ready to ride then i say take the vector. With a front mount and a rider forward bar setup the sled should rock and if its a good deal i say its a no brainer.

You have to decide if you want to go fuel injection (wave of the future) or carbs.....

the only thing that I could say that is different is the apex would give you more power but the vector is 20-30 lbs lighter because of the 3 cylinder instead of the 4 and the vector is carbed like the rx1 apex is fuel injection but i dont really no I've never owned owned one but I've rode an apex and they handle awesome way better than cat, or rev my 2 cents

I have looked at the sled your talking about on their website, very nice and unless your shooting for that 300HP number I think it will work great. I too have thought about selling my Tcat and buying that sled (no worries) can't pull it off at the moment. But if I were gonna go turbo can't beat that sled for that price.

Don't under estimate the Vector--- is it build on the SE model than it is a Apex with a 3 cylinder in it anyway---the regular Vector Mountain needs the rider forward and makes a Formidable boon-docker even with the 151" track.

With the Alpine set up the vector rocks --- And the weight savings alone is worth the second look. ;) never mind the better price.

my buddy has a stock vector mnt se and I have an apex. Huge difference imo. Apex feels heavier, but handles smoother. The vector is a great machine, but if you're going to turbo both then I'd go with the Apex.

If you do rider forward and a real track on the vector (which is a must) then it comes down to Fuel Injection.

I went throught the same thing last season. I had a modded vector and decided to go with an apex. I am happy with my decision but would have been happy going the vector.

There are also plenty of great deals on boosted apex's out there also

theres not allot of tapexs that will beat my tvec,:D:D but mine is not normal. if you want a fun all around sled the vec is the one handles allot lighter, but the apex does have the all out power advantage.jetting on the vec is a mute point unless you are going from 0-10000ft,i live at 0ft elevation & my sled is a bit lean here & have had it too 10000ft with the same jetting & it wasnt to bad could have went down a jet size but it ran fine.the one must do is the rider forward on the vec though then it is so close to the apex you cant tell the diff.my buddy has the tapex & i have the tvec & i wouldnt trade him.
