switching tracks

I have a 07 skidoo 142 in track. Will a artic cat 04 152" track system fit skioo system?

Measure the center to center distance of the "nubs" on the inside of the track (the drive axle pulls on these "nubs"). They will either be 2.52" or 2.86". Any replacement track will have to match this dimension. This is known as the track pitch. Ski Doo went to a 2.86" pitch a few years ago with track lenghths of 120", 137", 146" and so on. A 2.52" pitch will equal 121", 136", 144" track lengths. Hope this helps. 550iq.

im pretty sure it should fit. you will loose by putting a 15 wide on a sled that works with a 16 wide but it should work. i believe they didnt switch over to the M style chassis with the 3.0 pitch until 05. the old mountain cats were 2.52 pitch.

This is a good point. I don't think you want to go from a 16" wide to a 15" wide if you're riding in powder... It will fit, but be sure you want to do it first.
