I was just wondering if there was a way to install an older 800 in an 06 900 chassie , If so what parts and mods are required , al info would be great .

I'm not sure yet but I may be doing a very similar project soon.
I have a busted Fusion, an 800 VES engine (new), and an 06 600 chassis. Not sure if I'm going to move the 900 to the chassis or fit the 800 in there and part out the 900 engine.....choices...
Perhaps some of the replies here will sway me....

Fabcraft in Florence Mt has done the conversion and I think they made to parts to do it. You could try contacting Mike Cassidy at 406 777-1200 and asking him. Good luck.
Looks great but what chain case are you running , looks like you relocated the jack shaft quite a bit

No chaincase, its a RMI geardrive.

I believe the IQ Switchbacks in 2005 / 2006 had a 600 VES motor in them.
Looks very Similar to the 900 IQ, or are they built on a diffrent tunnel ?
Might go find a Switchback and look it over
