perfect, now I will know how much nutritional value is lost by microwaving a hot dog versus boiling it. that study will only cost me 3 years of taxes.

better yet, I will be giving money to banks that they can loan back to me and charge me interest on.....it was my money!. I wish our gov't would put the biggest spending plan ever out to popular vote....I have met but two people who thought it was a good idea.

I hate everything my country is doing right now.....c'mon guys you don't spend money to get out of the hole..........you save it.

now hurry up and get the rest of the national forests closed up so the granola's can hike them once a year. I will quit burning dead firewood and start using clean green powe generated by my counties garbage burning generator.....puke

So the saga of 'Change' begins.............

Pretty disappointed last night. So......... Didn't think about it too much until I found my 3 yr old chewing off pieces of my snowflap in the shop. Figured with the threat of lead poisining I would take her to the ER. Once I got their I was refused treatment because they are waiting for their bailout money to come in before they could pay anyone anymore. It's a county hospital but I aksed why anyway and they said they were jumping on the bandwagon with everyone else. Well, she seemed fine so we started driving home when all a sudden my truck died!!!! Long story short after it was checked out, they told me it just froze up because of the Ethanol in the fuel and I would just have to wait and see if it would start in the morning.

They government isn't just printing money... anways the Fed isn't part of the govt... The govt is taking out loans to pay for this (ie increase in deficit, national debt). Therefore the net amount of money in the books is the same, and inflation will not be a problem.

What are your thoughts on the Pkg??

I wish there was a lot more money being put into infrastructure. I would have loved to see some more rail projects and other public transportation projects. I would also like to see a bunch more money put into the energy sector too.. Seems those two issues, transportation and energy, could use a lot of money and the net benefit would be cheaper costs to the public while also creating jobs and putting people to work, kind of like the interstate program.

My bad about printing the money. I'm pretty sure the money supply is going up though. The Chinese aren't buying as many T-Bills as they used to.

You don't think that borrowing money causes inflation? Ever hear of the housing bubble? Too much easy money from Fannie and Freddie caused amazing inflation in the housing market. Wouldn't this be similar?

Not quite, I figured i would do it correctly and see what it would really be.

The total US population according to a July 2008 estimate was 303,824,640. Of that approximately 25% are under the age of 18.

So you multiply 303,824,640 x 75% to get the amount of Americans 18 and older. (Don’t think we need to give stimulus checks to 6 year olds) That equals 227,868,480 eligible.

You then divide $700,000,000,000 (I dont know the final amount they arrived at) by 227,868,480 to get to amount each eligible American would receive. This equals $3,072 per person.

This amount would actually do something for the economy. Much more than the pork barrel plan thats happening today.

Truth be told, that much handed out to every U.S. adult would probably just make the value of the US dollar plummet and make the economy worse, just like Barry's plan is going to do.
