Got this email from my congressman today...I woulda went, but seems he's to important to show up. Plus check the time...9AM....for christs sake, apparntley the farmers in SE MN don't work at 9 am. Unlike them I WILL be WORKING at 9am, as I do every day of the year when I'm not on vacation.
Seriously what kind of horse chit planning is that. Have the meeting when only farmers(who probably like the farm bill) can show up. And yet people who may not like all of the bill, like myself will be working.
Dear Mr. Warner,
I was proud to represent Southern Minnesota 's interests during the House Agriculture Committee negotiations as Congress passed the new federal Farm Bill. I would like to invite you to a series of meetings that my office and Senator Amy Klobuchar's office are sponsoring to give local residents an overview of the new Farm Bill and to outline the implementation process.
We will be holding one of these meetings in Plainview this coming Friday, the 22nd (see below for details). I hope that you will be able to attend and offer your input.
Sincerely,
Tim Walz
