My opinion on the sway bar is simple. Certain sleds react differently with them in or out. Back in the day it was the first thing we did was get rid of it. With the newer chassis and aftermarket narrowing kits things have changed. The ski doo as an example after changing to the 35.7 inch stance works better with it in. I feel like the front end is way too soft with it removed. The 39.5 inch stance on the other hand I feel like it works better without. All this of course depends on what size of rider you are and what terrain you like to ride, etc. The bigger guys I feel need to keep it attached. On the axys my thoughts are with the stock stance it needs to be left in, and with the 36 inch stance absolutely positively must be left in to perform the way it should. I read post after post of guys complaining about why their sleds dive from side to side in the deeper snow uncontrollably, well that's why.The first thing most guys do to compensate for the rolling is crank up the preload on the shocks, which does nothing more than in most cases diminish the performance of the already not so great OEM shock, and lessen the performance in most cases of a really top shelf aftermarket shock. Running with the sway bar unattached with a 36 inch ski stance absolutely wears a guy completely out which in turn removes the fun factor. You can put a Band-Aid on it with different coil springs and better shocks, but it's just that... a Band-Aid Those are my thoughts. Thank you. Dananyone try riding with and without the sway bar? i took the bar off my 14 Pro, was thinking of keeping it on the Axys. thoughts?
