Sway Bar Removable?

My wife has a 2005 Ski Doo Summit 600 Adrenaline 144 with about 800 miles, awsome sled and she loves it very much. She weighs about 105 pounds and I am thinking about removing the sway bar for better boondockability. We do not do any trail riding. What do you guys think? Is there a Sway Bar Disconnect like you can get on a XP? Or Do you remove all together?

I have never had to take mine off.. I know alot of people do. Do a search, I remember a thread where someone showed and explained how they made it a quick disconnect..

I don't think anyone has figured disconnects out for that style, it uses two plastic coupler blocks to link it to the arms. I would remove the blocks and ziptie the bar up for a ride or two, if she likes it yank it out, if not put it back.

I finally removed mine and really could tell a different on "tipping" it over, it was much easier. I really like it and didn't see much negative at all. It is a PITA to get out though if you want to keep it in one piece. I figured out that you have to take the skid plate off if you have one installed. Otherwise, chop the ends off and pull it out. I have one to sell if you want to put it back in. :)

I finally removed mine and love it. You will need to do something with the shocks to stiffen back up, as mine tends to porpoise in the deep. Didn't cut it out, after disconnecting push thru from belt side, tilt sled on its belt side and pull, twist, and cajole it out. I had to temporarily remove a bolt (starter?) to get past. As stated, it tilts in much better, but does get a little soft without shocks. JMO
