sway bar, love it or leave it???

can depend on how big a person you are .real big guys need it in . smaller fella wants it out.
when you take it out you need to turn the preload up on the sprinngs.
to get that right you find that going down a trail , when you turn the bars left to go left it leans right hard . turn the preload up till this effect is minamised.

in the deep powder now it will turn easier left and in correcting it to go right , not as much effort is required . mostly just changing the pressure from the ball of one foot to the other .and at the same time throwing the bars the opposite direction .
if this isnt positive enough for ya , then add a bit more rear spring preload . 1 positiion harder . if it is to posative back the rear spring pre load off 1 position.

idea is to be pivioting over the front skid shock.
thats for the powder riding .
on the trail, just wheel up the mtn as the soft powder set up is a bit wimpish on the trail .

GET RID OF IT

i heavily debated mine, finally got a few :beer; in me one night and got out the sawzall.....best thing ive done to my sled, way more active when boondocking and jumping

Took mine off, wasn't unpredictable at all, just turned up the preload one notch, it was only tougher on the trail but who rides trail, eaiser to hold a long side hill, and also when you go up a hill get some air and come off side way's it's way more foregiving then with the sway bar in doesn't jerk you hands, maybe that's why snocross guy's leave them out.

I finally cut mine out too this spring, and it was a lot easier to sidehill and turn. I could hold the sled over easier and the lower ski wouldn't dive downhill so bad.

I always use a race sled in Mtns so have never had one. On the trails to the good stuff sled is plenty stable. I also only weigh 150 though

M series sleds don't even come with a sway bar, ski-doo gives you a choice.
As a mountain rider, I don't care how it handles on the trail . . don't spend much time on them. The sway bar was the first thing to go on mine.

It helps turning on the trail.. Keeps the sled from diving and shifting weight to the outside ski.

On a race sled it shouldn't matter b/c the shocks are so stiff..

Personally I think having your toe set correctly has more effect on the trail than a sway bar. But I've always rode stiff jump sleds...
