Sway bar disconnect

I had looked at one made by Tedds Unlimited earlier this winter looked nice but at the time he was out of stock. I'll probably order one this summer.

You can make your own and everything is available at your local hardware .
Clevis pin with multiply holes and a hitch pin 1 ft of 1/8" cable and some cable clamps ( aluminum duplex ferrule ) . I think they are 5/16 clevis pin .
Remove the lower bolt and install clevis pin with cable attached to pin and hitch pin and you are done . I will try and take some pics of mine this weekend.

As easy as the sway bar is to remove or reinstall, I don't see much advantage to a disconnect product. When the sway bar is disconnected or re-installed you have to readjust your springs, I don't see guys doing that often in the field. I do that kind of thing in my shop before the ride, therefore I don't see any need for the disconnect approach. To each their own.

We are in the process of locating a shop that can produce the holding clamp. We have tried a couple of different shops this year and have not been happy with the finished product. Our original shop closed their doors due to the owner passing away. Once we find a good tig welder that can produce a quality finished product we will have more in stock.

As Oregonsledder said, to each their own. Some people like the idea of being able to disconnect their sway bar whenever they would like, others don't see the need.

For me I left it in tell I got WY then pulled it for our trip in the Mtns. Then when I got home I put it back in. It doesn't take that long to adjust springs. I was using a zip tie to hold the arm out of the way but it broke once on the trip.
