Sway Bar 08 D7

So my roommate busted half of sway bar last weekend. Well lets say he bought a new bar and I looked at him funny! I know that when everyone bought a new sled back in the good ol' trailing days, that was the first 'MOD' that everyone did unless they had a 650 Polaris Triple. I have never been on a IQ without a sway bar, so has anyone taken it out? Also, I know by looking at the sleds, that it is nearly impossible to put one in since they go through the bulk head. Also, being a Snowest member for the last few years, I have learned quickly to take these threads with a grain of salt!!! Just wanting to hear what's a IQ like without a sway bar!

I took mine off and I like it a lot better but I'm also running coil over shocks off a pro. Not sure how well it would do with the stock shocks. It's a lil' more tippy on the trail but not bad and it also seems to sidehill easier

i pulled mine as well. I also have coil over Exits valved knowing I wouldn't have my sway bar in. Very happy with how it handles. As mentioned, it's a bit tippy on the trails, but didn't buy the sled to trail ride.

My assault didn't come with a sway bar. Never even noticed. My f8 sway bar bushings broke off, I removed sway bar.. I think it's better without it. Try it you might like it.. Maybe try just a tad more spring tension on front shocks if you hate it, before you reinstall sway bar

I recommended taking the whole thing off and riding it and see how he likes it. Thanks for heads up on reinstalling one! He is slowly learning to ask his roommate on servicing his sled, he watched something on YOUTUBE on how to change hifax's, on removing belt, loosening suspension and track, putting sled on side, ect. Well lets say DAD was nice enough to show him just jack up your sled! I told him YOUTUBE is like the SNOWEST FORUM, gotta ignore half the crap! LOL

Another grain of salt. I "rebuilt" an 07 IQ that did not have a sway bar. My history was riding Wedges and Edges without sway bars for 10 years, but the way the IQ handled off camber bumps and small drops led me to try it with a sway bar. I put in one that was real cheap, cause lots are taken it out and I prefer it that way, but in WA, I seldom have over the hood powder days with endless carving.

I have ridefx shocks cranked up a little and will be leaving mine in. It was a little bit of a pain, but it went in OK.
