swapping 600 & 700 motors...

I have an 04 RMK 600 that I've modified to my liking...

While sled shooping for my wife I found an 04 switchback 700... too much power for her, but would be good for me.

how difficult is it to swap motors? mainly...are the CDI's plug and play or will I have to swap EVERYTHING out

THANKS

Simple swap if I remember correctly but everything must go from carbs to exhaust and cdi. Why not just swap parts? Should be easier and cleaner, or just fix the SB the way you want it now.

Thanks for your help

I thought about switching parts onto the SB but it almost seemed like it would be quicker to swap the motors... especailly if some parts/ wiring matched up; "plug n' play" so to speak...

Everything under the hood has to be switched including airbox and motor mount straps as well as throttle cables. But everything will switch right over.

Chassis wiring harness is direct plug in between the 2.

Clutches need to go too and you may have to adjust driven off-set once the switch is done.
