I don’t like the two options to chose from, both of them say delete the post. Why DONT you want 900 parts in a 900 Forum???? And dont say they should be in the swap meat. Im so sick of looking at cat 900 parts of some other part that has nothing to do with a polaris 900 when i do a search or when I know there was a part that someone posted and it was moved and I never find it again.
I say leave any “for sale or WTB” post that are for a 900 Polaris in the Polaris900 forum!!!!
I wouldnt be so hard on him. We mods have to answer to the higher power and are no different than a average user. They the Supermods have control over our forums and frequently will make the change if we dont. Than we have the egg on our face and they dont. What 94fordguys is trying to do is just be one step ahead of them to avoid the few whiners that you refer to below. You are crazy and I dont think you should be running the 900 Forum anymore!!! To write (I will follow forum policy to the letter and delete EVERY single ad that is sales related you are basically saying you dont want to stick up for forum users)
And in closing, cry babys that say, "I dont like to see 900 parts for sale in a 900 forum". What is wrong with you? what is wrong with it???? Im asking. Is it that big of a deal?? Maybe it would be if 1st page was nothing but things for sale but its not so chill out!!!!!
Im fighting for Forum user RIGHTS and maybe im all wrong
Snowman, I am sorry to see that you look at me as your enemy, on the contrary, I volunteered my time to try and help out the guys in this forum and I try to balance the users inputs with what should be done as best as I can, I am only here to try and help as best I can. The whole reason there is a swapmeet section to begin with is because if everyone posted their ads in here, it would simply get swamped and the people who use this forum for information would be forced to wade through lots of sales threads.
Concerning your "Yard Sale for the 900s" idea, That is essentially what I am proposing, a place for the 900 guys to post links to all their ads so the rest of us can find the parts much easier, while at the same time, keeping the clutter factor down to a minimum.
As for your asking what is wrong with listing the parts, and the USERS who do not like to see the for sale ads, That is their opinion based on what they want and they have as much right to voice their opinion as you do for the opinion you have given.
We are all members of the same forum and all have slightly different ideas on what the ideal setup would look like, that is why I have asked for the opinions on this topic. Rest assured I have not forgotten your comments, I take them very seriously, without yourself and the other members of this forum, I would have no reason to volunteer my time to try to help out...
If you have any other questions or comments on this topic, I invite you to post them here and keep the discussion going. If you have already made up your mind that I am the devil and wish to tell me your personal opinions in private, you are welcome to send me a private message, I will do my best to reply to you in a timely manner.
Thank you - 94
i say go with the sticky. But could we make it for the 05/06 900 and the 755 rmk. since most parts r the same, except the engines
I agree, a single sticky for 900 specific or applicable parts. But all stray sale threads should be moved.
Based on the majority feedback of everyone in here, I have created a sticky at the top of the 900 forum for those who are interested in taking advantage of it.
The new sticky has been named, The Parts Counter ---> http://www.snowest.com/forum/showthread.php?t=184582
Thanks for all your comments on this issue, I appreciate all the feedback both ways.
