Swap 99 600 into a 2001 800 sled

I have a complete (from carbs to pipe) 600 motor from a 1999 600 RMK that I would like to put into a 2001 800 RMK (non ves). Would I need the cdi and wiring harness off the 99 or will the 2001 work? Thanks in advance.

stuffer in use the wireing from the 99 ig syst is different weve done that twice here

vey simple, you do not have to use the harness out of the 99, they are different but all will plug in that needs to be, you will need to make a single wire extension for the temp sensor so that the light will work but other then that it is a direct bolt in.
