suspension set

i have a 01 moutain cat 800 for the old lady. she has a way hard time throwing it over in the pow. i need to set the suspension up for her she ways about 120 pounds. the rear front shock was loosend all the way out and the limiting straps still have some slack on them. the front shocks are kind of tight. any thing that i could do to make it more managable for her?

Here is the best mod for that sled.

Wipe the 25 year old snot off your nose and treat her with respect. You may think it is cool to refer to her as "YOUR OLD LADY" but she wont. It is not the sled it is how you treat her that is making her not want to ride. Disrespect her and she will come up with any and all excuses not to go with you. Most of all make it fun. She is not there to listen to your BS she is there to make you happy and enjoy seeing you happy.
Just my 2 cents.

I think the guy was looking for suggestions on how to make his wifes snowmobile more enjoyable to ride not an ethics class. Where I'm from its quite common to refer to your wife as your "old lady" and especially when your on a SNOWMOBILING SITE! Maybe worry more about helping someone when they ask and less about criticizing at a moments notice.
With that said. I ride an 1m 900 and the best things that ive found to help is to get a foward riser on the steering post ( more leverage to pull the sled over), to stiffen the front skid shock, let the limiter straps out as much as possbile, and to set your rear spring blocks to as soft as possbile. This will let as much weight transfer as possible and will make the front lighter to pull over. Just MY 2 cents

Well, thank you for setting me straight. Print this off and show it to you grandma. Bet she will whip your little bottom for the disrespect no matter where your punk a$$ is from.
With that said here is the result from your setup. When she is on the trail and hits the throuttle on a corner the sled will fully transfer the weight and pick up the skis. Rather then turning it will be off it the trees. I owned one and would never give it to my wife. She is on an MC600 and loves it. Good job KID. Go back to your hood.

first of all you dont need to worry about how i refer to my old lady. she has no problem with that in fact she is sittin here laughin right now! we do not ride the trails and she has no problem with the 800 i was just wondering about the front skid shock. thanks for your help though. oh and she says that she will wipe my nose while we are out adjusting her suspension and puttin her risers on.

Old man, Old lady, Old duck, old chook, old mate.......all perfectly acceptable names for your parents, wifes, husbands, girlfriends whatever where im from. Time to get with the 21st century, its not medievil england anymore!!!
