Sure is quiet in here

I would too if it would quit raining . We finally got a good base and now it is all running down the river .
I have nothing better do doo than look at the new Doo . It is looking pretty impressive . I guess Poo is holding out to dazzle us .

Yep Facebook took over and people are buying more doo's, if Polaris is just bng this year sales are going to go down.

The others have sure stepped up there game but I am brand loyal been thru the Dragons , 2011 Pro's, and now the Axys . It still puts a smile on my Face .

This is the quietest I have ever seen on SW . Is this what happens when the OEM gives us great sleds ?

Yep! we have the best sled out there. Its fun watching as the others try to play catch up :)

They are crowing like roosters in a hen house. . . . . hahaha

I actually agree with the best sled part.

I love the engine, ease of service, and the snow clearance the Axys chassis has.
I was a doo guy for a long time, and so narrowed the front end and added a pro-motion link to make it handle to what was familiar for me, but with that done I really think I have the best sled for me.

Doo needs to develop a reliable track record with the G4 before my next purchase. I would hate to let a mechanic strip my sled down to change out the shattered egg shell. ;)

The facebook groups work poorly... with no good classification system you have "Lets see those Revs" miced in with "Need help with problem X"... then you scroll down very far (like in mountain sledder swapmeet) and facebook CRAWLS... I like to browse, and have bought a few things through there, but unless you can search for what you want, it is hard to find stuff...

The other problem with finding help on Snowest, IMHO, is when they broke all the sled brands up into different chassis versions... guys with "older" sleds like the Dragon or Edge that want to tweak and mod and fix them get little help from people who may know but are on newer platform sleds and focus on the forum for their sled... I am usually one of those guys. Usually 1 generation or 2 behind, right now have a Dragon and a Pro. I personally use the "Browse all Polaris" so I can look at all kinds of topics and maybe throw in my 2 cents on something I have knowledge on, but I may be in the minority doing that...

That being said I just re-upp'd Snowest for 3 more years... it still rules.

I own both axys and doo, honestly I'll say the axys is so much funner to ride. Way more nimble. The 850 is a ferry boat with a snappy motor the axys is a Ferrari through and through

Hmmm I must say my 165" 850 are better then all my previous Pro(-11,-12,-13,-14,-15) and Axys(-16 163")
Really like the new engine and new chassie and how it work in the deep and when climbing in the woods. It also hold the line really well.
But I am one of those who liked the old Pro chassie better than the Axys....

I had to laugh, nothing personal at all - "old Pro chassis" - the 2015 is still so new to me I keep switching between my 08 Dragon 860 and 2015 Pro 800. Now I wish I had sold the Dragon a month ago when I had the chance; while it was/is better than the Edge, the Pro was another giant leap. Glad to ear you liked the Pro chassis better than the Axys, I will have to avoid riding anyone's Axys or 850 Doo...

I know a lot of people drop a lot of coin on new sleds, and I am glad they do so I can pick up a 1.5 year old low mile sled (like I did last spring) for relatively cheap... :-) Now I see a 2016 Axys 155 advertised near me with low miles for $7700... hold on to my wallet... wait, I should buy it "for my wife"... darn, if I had sold the Dragon I probably could pull that off...

I learned this year that it's always the best time to buy a sled and always the worst time to buy a sled. Same goes for selling. Expensive game, gotta pay to play...and I am f'ing playing.

PS. I loved my Dragon but it bit off more than it could chew. 16" diameter pine. Ghost rode down the back side of Abundance.

OP - I hear ya on the quietness. It's slow at work for me during winter months so I am on here constantly looking for more (useful? truthful?) info. Oh well, I guess I'll have to build/price and compare my High Country/Denali/Lariat/Laramie 1 ton Dually again. Hey, a fella can dream can't he?

LOL!!
Just go over to the Doo Gen4 section, they'll straight you out on how many worries you SHOULD have with your new Axys.

Me, I am still trying to grenade my pos 2011 pro

Me too. It's hard isn't it. Almost like "fake news" was around before Trump but it might be just s**t luck too, eh Norway, lol.

The other "problem" (besides not fitting into the social media model lol) with refining and keeping a sled too long is you start to wonder what all the "game changing" talk is all about.
I know that's probably an "issue" I have now but, I've been sleddin' for a few decades and the snow has not changed, where we get to by the end of the season hasn't changed, why we go hasn't changed, what we do when we get there hasn't changed, and the feeling after a blue day in fresh hasn't changed (at least in my small world).

So,,, I guess,,, either I just missed that year the game changed or I just never realized what the game really was.
My buds are going to be shocked when they find out but we'll probably shake it off and just go out and have some fun again.
