my summit doesn't idle down when i stop. it stays between 2500 and 3000 rpm

Does it idle down if you flip the choke a bit? You must ride low elevation? try turning out the fuel screws 1/2 turn and see if that does it.

when i flick the choke its slows down then goes mach up.

WinterBrew is dead on, Its a lean condition, First open fuel screws 1/2 turn, If that doesnt help you have an air leak, Loose Rave valves will suck air in as well

The white knob on the side of each carb....good luck! They are not convenient to turn, do each evenly.
Mine was the same way, I turned my fuel screws out a half turn and turned the idle down slightly with the idle knob and runs perfect now.
The fuel screws are a pain in the arse to get to.
I took off the carbs off to adjust the fuel screws, then checked for carb boots for delamination while they were off. I also have v-force and the boots were fine. Spray a little WD-40 on the inside of the carb boots to make putting the carbs back on easier.
