Summit/submarine

My buddy put his 01 800 Summit into a deep creek yesterday. It was on it's side half under water. Took us 2 hours to get it up. Pulled the pipe and drained it, it was pretty full. Pulled the plugs and pumped the water out. Some new plugs and a few pulls and it started. Clutches wouldn't work for a bit after being under and she ran pretty rough for a bit. Drove it about a mile then parked and let it dry with the engine heat. We came out and she fired up and idled! Ran great the 12 km back to the truck. Just the headlights are out but a couple of bulbs and she'll be back. Nothing special just thought I'd pass it on. Nice when something works out.

Make sure to change the chain case oil.

Makes sense, I'll tell him but that side never went under. Hahaha

make sure no water got in the oil res. and check oil lines from oil pump for water

Is the seat rock solid after it had time to freeze yet?

Haha seat's good but next ride the primary messed up. We're about to take it apart but i think it's the bushing from what I've read/heard. time to redo it anyway. Engine ran great all day. Maybe we'll put a little soap in there next time he fills it up.
