sounds like alot of messing around . sounds like you ride a fair amount 4300 miles my suggestion would be use what you have and put the ho head on and run a boondocker 1 degree e key and ride it like you stole it. that combo works well at low alt 2000 ft and pump gas . just my thoughts . good luck

still havent made up my mind.

we ride a fair amount but, the sled is an 09 so dividing out the years (5 seasons), it is just over 850 miles a season.

when you say pump gas are you talking premium or regular fuel? where are you getting a 1* key?
