Summer storage?

I have never had a problem with a full tank of fuel going bad over summer.
I use stabil and run the old gas my first ride out.
My brother runs 2.5 gallons of 110 per tank in his mod sled. For summer storage he fills up with 100% 110 that he has left over and runs that tank first of the season without issue also.
I was a motorcyle tech for many years... It seems that new fuel stores much better than old.
Old bikes/watercraft, etc pre 90s it seemed like I did a lot of carb jobs with some seriously gummed up carbs... As the years went on, fuel going bad did not seem to be as much of an issue.

I run the Fitch Fuel Catalyst System in both sleds (the wifes and mine) and the fuel is as fresh as the day you last filled it. I have a 900 engine tech in mine and ran the "old" fuel first ride last winter without any issues. I also start mine every month and run till hot to avoid any condensation buildup and resultant corrosion. I grease everything, change dd oil, check sled from one end to other for bulkhead/tunnel cracks, loose bolts and nuts. Check hyfax and skegs and change if required. Check track and drivers. Clean sled top to bottom with pressure washer and spray-nine (works great for grease and belt dust). Make sure fuel tank is full and store in my enclosed trailer. I clean and inspect my clutches just before first ride. I have found that if you do this in spring, over the summer the shafts get rust on them and have to be recleaned. Probably missing some things, but this is my list.

Cheers;
Shane
