Just finished this up last night. Went from a 144 to a 154.

Anyone want to go ride the Snowies this weekend?

Wow, That is an early finish to a "summer" project! But at least you can get some "testing" done yet this year on it!! :face-icon-small-coo

Weird, what kind of extension did you use? Never seen one that leaves a big open gap like that one does. None the less good job on the mod:peace:

Thanks! I used a stock extension off of an 06 151, I still need to fill in that area with an old road sign, was hoping no one would see it lol

nice

How far off were the sup. mounts? and did you change drivers as well? looking at doing roughly the same swap to the wifes sled

I drilled out the back holes on the front mounting location and the front holes on the rear mounting location, took a little bit of encouragement but the skid fits well.

I went to 8 tooth drivers with the 2.86 pitch, which a 2006 MXZ 440X comes with BTW so finding them cheap wasn't too hard, had to as the stock 144 drivers are 2.52 pitch.

Still haven't ridden the sled yet, I got turned down by ten people this weekend who all had stuff to do and couldn't ride!!! Thought about going to ride down the trail by myself, but then realized how stupid of an idea that sounded like as I know I wouldn't be able to resist playing in the pow. Heard it was deep this weekend.

Thanks

Do you know anyone with a set of those drivers are? I have a 05 151 rev and am toying with doing the same thing to it this summer. Did you use the whole shaft or just the drivers?

I found someone parting one out in New York, I'd check craigslist and Ebay, also check out DooTalk.com. It's pretty specific but you may get lucky like I did. Also check out some snowmobile junk yards, someone's got one somewhere that they'd like to get rid of.

I used the entire shaft, it was a direct replacement, no pressing off/on drivers is the way to go unless you know someone who knows how to do it and will do it for you cheap. They need to be pretty precise.
