I feel bad for peeps that bought boats and dirt toys this year. Here is what we woke up to see this Memorial Day. Weird thing is that the plants seem to know what's going on because our Aspens haven't budded yet. Usually have full blown leaves by now.

Wow, NO summer

This was last year around this time, maybe a few weeks before, with Jared.. Camera show May 22 nd..

drove up from my side this am. snowing hard. road is history at 8200' or mile marker 18. ha. no summer for us. only about 400 sq miles of riding left right in our back yards.

A very crazy year. No bike race over the top in June. From what I heard it's from Evanston to how ever far up the road they can ride and then turn around and back again.

That one picture that Hector posted is up Gold Hill turn off. lol. I don't think it will look like that until late July.

This is the first year in over 20 we haven't been able to get into our cabin for Memorial weekend...Some one turn it off!!!
Riding in July and August is going to be fun though.

That pic of the warming hut is great because right now you can barely enter without hitting your head. I would guess 8' still surrounding.

GP's parents said its the first time in 23 years they haven't had their water turned on for Memorial.

Good thing I have not bought a bike yet should invest in a boat the flood is a coming.

Summer is absolutely CANCELED!!!! GOOD RIDDANCE!!!! (sorry matt) I rode yesterday up guardsman. 10 inches of fresh and very soft and FULL of water below the fresh. Super heavy and I did not care!!! Fantastic day!! I just wish I would have taken more pics but here are a couple taken from my phone. The tree holes are 10+ feet deep

the snow on both sides of the Bald Mt summit is insane. we are going to be flooding as soon as it finally gets warm. Thanks Hector. We have our sandbags in place and just need to sit and wait. If it floods it's insured. I'll get some great photos when the Provo River cranks up.

?? for Ron and GP.. where does the water behind Bear River Service (lodge) flow??? That is going tro be a wild ride.

I'm no expert but believe the main part of the river flows through the towns of Bear River, Woodruff and Randolph. I've heard they are already having problems and Evanston set a record last week with the Bear River being over 7 ft deep already. It's going to get real ugly this week as the weather finally warms up. I don't think your average winter couch potato has a clue how much snow is still up there. To make matters worse it's still snowing like a mutha and adding to the problem.

Ron, all the pictures I've posted and still people think we'll be fine.. there's no snow in town after all. We're screwed! This will get ugly fast if we heat up. Not only do we have a lot of snow but the water content is off the hook. You're high at your cabin, but I made the brilliant decision to be ON/IN the creek. lol. I'd rather be high now. this should be a long month ahead. stay tuned. - rock

good part is, you can still hit the lake. been to pineview and utah lake and both are not that bad to be in.

I know, me too. It's really got me down in the dumps. they should change it to some sort of triathlon with snow shoes or cross country skis.
